We, as Hettigoda Energy Technologies, manufacture, commission and install small-scale Hydro Turbines (1kW – 250kW) in rural villages where electricity is not sufficiently provided. We also manufacture and install small-scale Wind Turbines (250W – 1.5kW) in rural areas. Solar Energy systems (1kW – 15kW, for houses) and Wind-Solar Hybrid systems too are manufactured and installed by us.

In 1992, Udaya Hettigoda set foot in the renewable energy field after his tutelage from the United Kingdom non-government organization ITDG (now known as Practical Action) in small-scale Hydro Turbine manufacturing. In 2000, Mr.Hugh Piggott (under ITDG’s request) taught him to manufacture small-scale Wind Turbines and he has been manufacturing ever since.
