Within the wonderful TiEole workshop, the Tripalium association is meeting this week for its annual general assembly. Members from all over France are converging to Valence to discuss new developments within the association such as the newly found interest in electronics.

Day 1 – Monday 26th September
Pre-General Assembly
The first morning is dedicated to discuss several issues of the Tripalium network. Among the many issues are:
In the afternoon a workshop took place to explain the new charge controller system which is under development for small wind and grid tied systems.
Wind Empowerment Presentation
In the evening there was a presentation of Wind Empowerment during dinner. The discussion was focused on the WEPatagonia2016 conference, how W.E. is funded and potential project funding for Tripalium.
Day 2 – Tuesday 27th September

Datalogger workshop
Aworkshop for wind dataloggers followed the general assembly of Tripalium. Gilles LONGUET, member of Tripalium and electronics enthousiast, has explained the details of the open-source datalogger. The proposed technology is capable of:

Day 3 – Wednesday 28th September
Charge Controller Workshop
We started our third day by working on the charge controller activities that have been taking place within Tripalium. Clement and Bastien have presented their prototypes, one of which is funded by the Technology WG Kickstarter project.
Visit of the Collibri Wind Turbine
In the afternoon we visited the Collibri wind turbine near Valence, France. This wind turbine is the outcome of local collaboration and genius. Meant to be a low-cost semi-industrial wind turbine, its development was very cheap and quite competitive. Some pics below.
