The Market Assessment working group is pleased to publish the following market assessments which it has now completed for Ethiopia, Malawi and Nicaragua. The reports all use a variety of scientific methods to determine whether locally manufactured small wind turbines are the technology of choice for rural electrification in the target countries. They all produce different results and recommendations for wind practitioners in the countries. The working group has also recently finished a Global Market Assessment which ranks countries worldwide on their suitability for small wind implementation based on selected indicators. The Global Market Assessment will be published here shortly, after it has been presented at the WEPatagonia conference this week.
