Search for partners for National Market Assessments

Global and National Market Assessments

Work on the global market assessment is ongoing, with the development of a more in depth methodology underway, but from the preliminary report we have identified a number of countries that warrant further investigation. In order to get these assessments off the ground we are looking for in-country partners, either practitioners or government offices, for us to collaborate with. A list of the countries we are looking for partners in is at the end of this post.

What we have to offer: The plan is to conduct a national assessment in order to confirm the viability of small wind for rural electrification in the given country, and to locate a suitable community for a pilot scheme. The ultimate goal is to install one or more small wind systems to validate the national market assessment. This will provide evidence to improve the decision makers knowledge of what the options are, with regards to off-grid energy access in the chosen country.

What we stand to gain: We want in-country partners so we may benefit from their local knowledge. The key piece of feedback we received from the presentation at WEPatagonia was that we really need to consider local and community factors more, so that’s what we’re doing! Along with the local knowledge, we hope to benefit from our partners network of contacts, and from their access to relevant authorities.

Please get in touch through the contact form  if you or someone you know may be interested in being a partner in a market assessment in one of the following countries. An email will be circulated to Wind Empowerment members and member organisations to check for interest in the near future.

Countries we are seeking partners for:
