Practical Action’s “Small Is…” festival is a great blend of a conference and festival with practical workshops, debates, films and much more on the theme of appropriate technology for poverty alleviation.
This year its being hosted at the Centre for Alternative Technologies (CAT) in mid-Wales. They also have an open call for sessions, so if any WE members are interested in running something, we could potentially run something together. A few years ago they hosted a debate on “Is Small Wind an Appropriate Technology?”, as many of Practical Action’s small wind projects had encountered significant barriers.
